Itโ€™s hard to believe that November is almost here, even more difficult to believe that 2014 is already over !!! But Iโ€™m looking forward to all that is coming up next months : Halloween, Thanksgiving and dont forget my b-day is in less than 2 weeks!

But first thing first, If youโ€™re looking for an easy appetizer to make for your Halloween, Thanksgivin, New Yearโ€™s Eve or any other party this Sweet & Spicy Crock Pot Kielbasa is perfect.ย You can substitute turkey sausage, meatball or cocktail franks for the kielbasa, but Iโ€™m sure that by now everyoneโ€™s heardย of Kielbasa because there are so many recipes floating on internet out there and they seem to be growing quickly in popularity.

Need I say more? ย letโ€™s prepare some delicious kielbasa bites….

Crock Pot Kielbasa BitesIn case you havenโ€™t heard, kielbasa is the Polish and Ukrainian sausage.
In English, these words refer to a particular genre of sausage, common to all Central and Eastern European,ย but in Poland or Ukrainian these are the generic words for all types of sausage, local or foreign.
And iโ€™m just about to stop talking , and you go aheadย stack several slices of kielbasa on toothpicks and set out for your guests to enjoy.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb kielbasa or smoked sausage
  • 1 cup apricot preserves
  • 1/2 cup dijon mustard

Instructions
 

  • Cut the sausages into bite-size pieces,set aside.
  • Combine apricot preserves and dijon mustard in a small bowl and whisk until smooth.
  • Combine everything in the crock pot and cook on low for 4 hours.
  • Serve immediately.

  1. Same here. I actually have it in a crock pot right now and i bumped it up to high because it looks like it needs to cook off some of the grease.

    This looks really good and I am going to try it. I love Polish sausage and Kielbasa! I think that I will sear mine on both sides after cutting into bite sizes. I like the taste better after searing and it should cook off some of the fat.

  3. Would this work with honey mustard instead of dijon? No one in my family cares for dijon mustard.
