Looking for a fun little treat to serve for Christmas appetizers or game day?
Ritz crackers are a staple in my house. They are mild buttery crackers that are always good with a little cheese and deli meat. They’re also perfect for most cold dips or crumbled over a bowl of soup.
What You’ll Need
Only a few simple ingredients are required for this easy recipe! As always, you can find the full printable recipe with complete instructions in the recipe card at the end of this post. Let’s take a look at what you’ll need:
- Ritz Crackers –They are a staple in my house. They are mild buttery crackers that are always good with a little cheese and deli meat. They’re also perfect for most cold dips or crumbled over a bowl of soup.
- Butter
- Thinly sliced deli ham – any type of thinly sliced ham will work here. Roast beef, turkey, or even salami would be a great choice.
Note that if you use any flavored ham it will change the flavor of the recipe. I love to use either honey ham or black forest ham for this recipe. - Cheese – Swiss cheese is the classic choice but white cheddar is also delicious. Both of these cheeses pair very well with ham so feel free to use whichever cheese you prefer or any other cheese of your liking.
- Seasonings – you can use my list, poppy seeds, dried onion flakes, dried garlic flakes, and salt.
- Dijon mustard – since there isn’t any mustard on the inside of the sandwiches, this Dijon mustard is the perfect addition to the topping.
- Worcestershire sauce – a rich and savory addition to the topping.
