Method
- You can marinate the chicken in a brine, buttermilk or seasonings that you like.
- Pat the chicken dry on both sides, then transfer to a medium bowl.
- Toss garlic, salt, lemon pepper and paprika in a small bowl. Sprinkle over chicken in bowl. Toss with tongs until pieces are coated.
- Preheat oven to 400 F and cover a baking sheet with foil.
- Place the chicken skin side down on a baking sheet.
Bake the chicken for :
- 30 minutes - 400 F then drain juices, flip chicken
- 15 minutes - 400 F then drain juices, place skin side down and baste with BBQ sauce
- 10 minutes - 400 F then drain juices, flip chicken, baste with BBQ sauce
- 10 minutes - 425 F then baste with BBQ sauce
- 2 minutes - put under broiler to caramelize
- 10 minutes - let chicken rest before serving. Enjoy.
